ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹಿರಿಯ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮುತ್ಸದ್ಧಿಗಳೂ, ಪಾತ್ರ: ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯರೂ ಆದಂತಹ ದಿವಂಗತ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ.ವಿ.ಶಂಕರಗೌಡರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಜನ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಜನತಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೆಂಬ ಹಿರಿಮೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ, ಆರಂಭದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾಡಿನ ದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಮಂದಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನತೃಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಣಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ದಿವಂಗತ ಶಂಕರಗೌಡರ ನಿಧನ ನಂತರ ಡಾ|| ಹೆಚ್.ಡಿ.ಚೌಡಯ್ಯನವರ ದಕ್ಷನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಕಾಣದ ತೀವ್ರಗತಿಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ವಿಜಯ್ ಆನಂದ್ ರವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆಯ ಅಭಿಮಾನದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.
Peoples education society was founded by Nithya Sachiva Sri. K.V. Shankara gowda. His vision was to provide to the people of Mandya a prestigious educational institution-which would focus on quality education.
Students of Mandya district in particular and students of neighbouring districts in general have been benifitted by the institution. The demise of Sri K.V.Shankara gowda made way to Sahakara Rathna Sri Dr.H.D Chowdaiah as chairman of the Society After his retirement the mantle of chairmanship has been passed on to the young and energetic Sri K.S.Vijay Anand.

The Pre-University College situated in an ambience of greenery has been accredited ‘A’ Grade by the pre-university education department. The College provides excellent infrastructure for academic, cultural and sporting activities. Although merit is given prominence the institution also consider the rural and the needy students. The focus is to provide proper guidance to both curriculum and other activities. The aim is to empower our students academically as well as culturally.
The teaching faculty assisted by the non-teaching staff strive hard to enlighten the students towards social, ethical and humanitarain values.
The Management’s aim is to achieve quality. In this regard well equipped Laboratory and an updated library is facilitated for all the departments. An excellent sports complex is provided on the campus. The institution also provides students NSS and NCC avenues to excel in patriotic dutie.

ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯಿಂದ ನೇಮಕ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಅನುದಾನಿತ, ಅಪಾರ ಬೋಧನಾ ಅನುಭವವಿರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಳಕಳಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಬೋಧಕ ವರ್ಗವಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಾರ್ಜನೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕೇತರ ವರ್ಗವಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧ್ಯೇಯೋದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಒತ್ತಾಸೆಯಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವರಿಷ್ಠರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಹ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಬಲವಿದೆ.
ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯವಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿಸಲು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಸಂಚಿಕೆ “ಜ್ಞಾನದೀಪ” ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾಸಕ್ತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಮುಚ್ಛಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪ್ರೇಮ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಸಿ ಘಟಕವಿದೆ.
Campus Infrastructure
The college premises is situated around 68 acres vast land,beside K V shankara gowda road.The college has 8 wings of block with each nook and corner under cctv surveillance,surrounded by vast lawn in the middle of the block.The building blocks have more than huge 20 classrooms which can accommodate 80 students in each classrooms. The other 4 wings unites of science laboratories equipped with modern lab equipments.Each block is facilitated with RO potable water filters.There are 4 individual rest lounges along with restrooms for the convenience of the college pupils and the rest of the workforce.
Library Information
The knowledge hub of the college our library is equipped with more than 12000 books and periodicals. It’s primary called as the house of books. Our college library is in the most peaceful block of the building wing, where it is furnished with the thousands multiple books of prescribed subjects.
